Engineered for Excellence in Every Application

At SABMC, we understand that the core of any great furniture piece is the board from which it's made. Our diverse range allows professionals to select the ideal material based on functional requirements, finish needs, and cost parameters.

Our Particle Board offers an excellent, budget-friendly core for laminated applications. MDF is the artist's choice, providing a flawlessly smooth surface for painting and detailed routing. For projects demanding superior strength and screw-holding power, our Plywood is unmatched. OSB provides exceptional structural integrity for subflooring, shelving, and industrial applications where a rough texture is acceptable.

For a finished look right out of the gate, our Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) combines the stability of particle board with a hard, decorative, and easy-to-clean surface. Similarly, our PVC Laminate Board offers outstanding moisture resistance and durability, making it perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, and healthcare furniture.

Choosing the Right Board for Your Project:

  • Particle Board:

Suit For: Economical cabinet boxes, shelving (where load is not extreme), and substrates for laminates.

Pros: Cost-effective, uniform, flat surface.

Cons: Heavier than plywood, can expand with moisture exposure.

  • MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard):

Suit For: Painted furniture, shaker-style door panels, detailed moldings, and routered designs.

Pros: Perfectly smooth surface, no grain, excellent for painting, easy to cut and shape.

Cons: Heavier than wood, not as strong as plywood, susceptible to water damage if not sealed.

  • Plywood:

Suit For: Structural furniture, cabinet frames, workbenches, and applications where screw strength is critical.

Pros: Very strong, resistant to cracking and warping, good moisture resistance (depending on grade), holds screws well.

Cons: More expensive, visible edge plies require banding, surface veneer can be thin and may tear out during machining.

  • OSB (Oriented Strand Board):

Suit For: Structural sheathing, industrial shelving, utilitarian furniture, and subflooring.

Pros: Very strong and stiff, cost-effective for structural use.

Cons: Rough aesthetic not suitable for visible surfaces, can have a rough cut edge.

  • Pre-Finished Boards (MFC & PVC Laminate):

Suit For: Ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, retail fixtures, and office furniture.

Pros: Factory-applied finish is durable and consistent, reduces production time and cost, wide design selection.

Cons: Cannot be refinished easily, core material limitations (e.g., MFC is still particle board at its core).
